ABOUT ECICOG
The East Central Iowa Council of Governments (ECICOG) is an intergovernmental council established in 1973 under Chapter 28E and provided for under Chapter 28H of the Code of Iowa.
Governed by a board of directors comprised of elected officials and private citizens, ECICOG was created to promote regional cooperation and to provide professional planning services to local governments in our region.

Created more than 45 years ago by visionary public leaders, Iowa’s Councils of Governments (COGs) provide professional planning, programming, and technical assistance to Iowa’s cities, counties, businesses, community organizations and Iowans of all ages.
OUR
LOAN REVIEW
COMMITTEE
The Loan Review Committee is comprised of members from our six-county area's banking community and economic development organizations. This group evaluates all loan submissions and makes recommendations to the ECICOG Board of Directors.

The role of the loan review committee is very similar to a bank’s loan committee. A significant difference is that loan applications are evaluated for their economic development impact and job creation potential. In addition, ECICOG's Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) often accepts a higher level of risk in the interest of promoting business growth in our six-region counties: Benton, Iowa, Johnson, Jones, Linn, and Washington.
